Jumping in between courses to wish you all a Merry Christmas. I know most of you don't celebrate until tomorrow but since we do it Christmas Eve you get your greetings now. *g*

Salmon mousse has been eaten with the usual orgasmic sounds. Hubby is putting the finishing touch on the reindeer in the kitchen. Kids are going crazy waiting for dinner to be over so they can start open presents. Life is good.

espero que todas disfruteis estos dias de lo que realmente importa, de unas vacaciones donde reencontrarse con viejos amigos, dar y recibir regalos y pasar unos ratos estupendos en familia!!
todo lo demas es marketing, pero para mi eso es la navidad, unas fechas para estar con amigos y familia y regalos, que es algo genial para poner una sonrisa en los rostros de quien quieres y recordar que hay mucha gente a quien le importas!!
asi que espero que recibais muchos regalos y lo paseis muy bien, a todas las personas maravillosas que he encontrado en este lugar, que me habeis dado mucho y no pedis nada a cambio, no se como agradecer tantas horas estupendas debatiendo las series que nos gustan o  leyendo fics maravillosos y sobre todo la increible acogida llena de calor que he recibido!

Been out almost all day since 3 pm. So damn tired! And I'm still not done.


Anyway, here's a little Xmas story for you:

Hubby and the kids were decorating the tree while I was out.
The girl: *dramatic flailing* We always forget to put a present for JESUS under the tree!
Hubby: *shifty eyes* Uhm, but he's not at our house for Christmas.
The girl: *more dramatic flailing* But it's his BIRTHDAY!
The boy: *stoic* Jesus is dead, you know.
The girl: O.O


Oh and did I tell you we were at hubby's sister's daughter's christening on Sunday? Did I tell you my son spanked the priest? Because he did. So now he's spanked a police officer and a priest. Next we're aiming for the president. Me thinks he could actually use a good spanking. As well could the majority of our government.

Hola!!!

Aunque pudiera parecer lo contrario, sigo viva! Lo cual es un milagro después de los últimos meses en los que no he parado (y si lo he hecho ya no tenía ganas de nada).  Pero ahora que ya tengo vacaciones y que voy a poder estar tranquilas, tengo varios propósitos para estos días:

1- Cambiar el header del lj. Que ya va siendo hora, aunque precisamente ahora que toca despedir al Doctor me da más penita que nunca. Pero estoy segura de que podemos encajar al Doctor y a la Navidad... :P

2- Actualizar con los picspams de los últimos viajes. Que toca poner del tour por centroeuropa, del roadtrip por Canadá y de lo poquito que pude ver de México DF cuando me tuvieron "secuestrada" por allí.

3- Ponerme al día con todas las series y terminar de prepararme para la despedida de Tennant.

Pues hala, ya tengo tarea para los próximos días. Espero poder tener el lj actualizado durante estas fiestas.

So here's a fun fact:

There's only one baker in the city that bakes gluten free bread. Except he doesn't do bookwheat bread because... wait for it... he's allergic to bookwheat.

I somehow feel there should be one of those "Badabing!" drum sounds at the end of that. I don't know, I just found that extremely funny. And ironic.

Anyway, am trying the ricewheat bread instead. It looks like a brick, weighs about the same as a brick but the taste is ok. Once I finally managed to cut a slice of it. My wrists, especially the left one, are just fucked after all that knitting and that bread is damn solid! (But I managed to finish my knitting! At three o'clock this morning. *is dead*) I was writing the last Xmas cards this morning and my handwriting isn't exactly pretty on the best of days but those are hardly readable. Ooops. Oh well, it's the thought that counts. (We aren't doing picture cards this year, for the first time since our daughter was born, because I was too busy to make them and I've already gotten complaints. *sighs*)

Hubby slept in this morning while I was doing the Xmas cards and washing the knit stuff etc. He's out now buying all the Xmas food (except the meat (reindeer) that we got yesterday) but I have a list of things I need to do so I need the car back ASAP. Plus I can't leave the kids alone at home. I feel I'm running late with everything. It's almost 2 pm! *flails*

Apparently most of the Xmas mail from the US to Iceland is stuck in Denmark and will be until at least next week. o.O WTF? There are direct flights from the US to Iceland. Whose brilliant idea was it to use a service that first flies it to Denmark before then flying it back here? (Apparently the US Mail's. *rolls eyes*) Idiots.

Anyway, if you US-folks sent me any cards I guess that's where they are. Apart from the five Xmas cards I got over a week ago there's been only one, yesterday. (Thank you, incasink!! *squishes*) And none of them were from the US. Four from Europe, one from Australia and one from Canada. (I guess they use a different service from the US. Or you were early, candygramme? I don't know.) I'm kinda bummed. I love getting those cards in the mail. *pouts* Guess I'll have a happy New Year instead.

I'm knitting like crazy, trying to get everything done before tomorrow night. (Our Xmas is on the 24th, not the 25th, so I'm running out of time fast.) My wrists are killing me! Once I'm done I'm going to soak in the tub in hope that they will get better or I might have to let hubby feed me my Xmas dinner! Ow, ow.
